100% is the original volume. Lower values make the whole audio track quieter, and 0% removes the audio track entirely. The change applies evenly across the video; it does not target a single voice or sound.

Values above 100% raise the volume, up to 200%. If the original is already loud, boosting can clip, which makes the peaks distort. Listen to the exported file before sharing, and pick a lower level if it sounds harsh.
